Tracking screens? No problem!

At Flow Video, I had the chance to help out the editing team by replacing and composite phone screens for many of Sun Outdoors' videos, using After Effects and Mocha. (Note: each clip needed to use the same screenshot of their homepage.)

Typically, the clips were 4–10 seconds long and were just black screens - though green screens may have made tracking easier, I was able to leverage the real life lighting and reflections much easier. On average, each clip generally took around ~15-30 minutes depending on the complexity (weird shadows, fingers that needed to be cut out, etc), but my personal best was 7 minutes!
